What Is Rotary?

Rotary International is a worldwide organization of over 1.2 million business, professional, and community members spread throughout 45,000 Rotary Clubs in more than 200 countries. Rotary is one of the largest service organizations in the world.

Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. As signified by the motto Service Above Self, members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, share the main objective of service — in the community, in the workspace and throughout the world.

 Westport Sunrise Rotarians volunteer their time, collaborate, plan, participate in and support numerous projects to help those in need and to improve the lives of people in Fairfield County, regionally and internationally. To raise money for our charitable activities and grants to non-profits, we hold Fundraisers throughout the year. The Great Duck Race in late June, the Westport Uncorked Wine Tasting in the Fall, and the Super Bowl Raffle in February are our major fundraisers. They are all a lot of fun to participate in!
